“The American Gastroenterological Association recommends having an endoscopy and a colonoscopy if you are 45 years of age or older to screen for stomach and colon cancer, even if you have no symptoms. If you have a family history of stomach and colon cancer, it is recommended that you have both tests starting at age 40.”
