What is a laryngoscopy?
Laryngoscopy is a procedure to examine the larynx, vocal cords, pharynx, and trachea using a laryngoscope, a thin tube with a light and camera. It is used to diagnose vocal disorders, mouth-related diseases, polyps, dysphonia, laryngeal and pharyngeal conditions, and to examine the tonsils, palate, tongue, uvula, trachea, and other structures.
You will be sedated during the procedure and in a deep sleep. It does not hurt, cause no discomfort, and you will be sedated and in a deep sleep. It is not general anesthesia.
It is an outpatient study; you do not have to stay in the hospital.
The additional cost for the biopsy is $800 pesos.
Prices may be adjusted or modified if additional procedures are required or necessary during the study.
