This procedure is performed orally using an endoscope and internal sutures to reduce the size of the stomach and the opening to the small intestine, improving satiety without external surgery, incisions, or scarring. Recovery is quick, and there is less risk. It is performed under sedation, meaning you will be asleep and in a deep sleep. You will not feel any discomfort or pain. It is not general anesthesia.
