Placement of intragastric balloon
PRICE: $38,000
The placement of an intragastric balloon is a minimally invasive weight loss procedure that involves inserting a silicone balloon into the stomach using endoscopy.
The balloon is filled with a saline solution, which generates an early and prolonged feeling of satiety, limiting the amount of food that can be consumed and helping with significant weight loss.
The intragastric balloon is placed by means of endoscopy, which is done with an endoscope (a flexible, thin tube with a camera) to see inside and directly the upper part of the digestive system and thus be able to place the intragastric balloon (inside the stomach).
Balloon placement is an outpatient procedure; you do not need to be hospitalized or stay in the hospital. It is performed under sedation, which means you will be asleep and in a deep sleep. You will not feel any discomfort or pain. It is not general anesthesia.
