Esophageal variceal ligation
PRICE: $15,000
Esophageal varices are enlarged veins in the lower part of the esophagus that often form due to chronic liver diseases such as cirrhosis. These veins can rupture and cause severe internal bleeding, which can be a life-threatening medical emergency.
The diagnosis and treatment of esophageal varices is performed endoscopically. Gastrointestinal endoscopy is a procedure done with an endoscope (a thin, flexible tube with a camera) to directly view the upper part of the digestive tract in order to ligate (tie off) the esophageal varices. This technique stops, prevents, and avoids future bleeding.
It is performed under sedation, which means the patient will be asleep and in a deep sleep. They will not feel any discomfort, pain, or other discomfort. It is not general anesthesia.
Prices may be adjusted or modified if additional procedures are required or necessary during the study. Prices may also be adjusted or modified depending on the patient's specific medical conditions and age. Please inform the medical staff of your age, medical history, past illnesses, suspected illnesses, and any previous surgeries.
