Foreign body removal

PRICE: $15,000

Foreign body removal is a medical procedure to remove objects that have accidentally entered the body. Endoscopic removal is used to extract objects stuck in the digestive tract, such as those accidentally ingested like batteries, coins, fish bones, marbles, needles, food, etc. The method and urgency depend on the location and type of object, and whether it is causing symptoms or complications.

The removal of foreign objects is done by means of endoscopy, which is a procedure done with an endoscope (a flexible, thin tube with a camera) to see inside and directly the upper part of the digestive system and be able to remove these types of objects or food ingested unintentionally or by carelessness.

Endoscopy is an outpatient procedure; you do not need to be hospitalized or stay in the hospital. However, in these cases, it is important to assess the overall situation and clinical condition of each patient. It is performed under sedation, which means you will be asleep and in a deep sleep. You will not feel any discomfort or pain.
