Pediatric colonoscopy
PRICE: $8,000
It is a procedure performed with a colonoscope (a small, flexible tube with a camera) to directly view the lower part of the digestive tract. It allows observation of the entire colon, anus, rectum, and part of the small intestine.
It can diagnose and treat diseases affecting these parts of the gastrointestinal system. It helps us diagnose various conditions such as: colon ulcers, colitis, inflammation, hemorrhoids, infections, bleeding, fungal infections, polyps, cancer, premalignant lesions, diverticula, chronic constipation, chronic diarrhea, bleeding sites, causes of intestinal pain, gastrointestinal problems, and more.
It doesn't hurt, it doesn't cause any discomfort or inconvenience; the patient will be sedated and in a deep sleep. It's not general anesthesia, it's sedation. It's an outpatient procedure; you don't need to be hospitalized.
Colonoscopy is the best method for diagnosing colon, anal, and rectal cancer. Biopsies can be taken to diagnose infections, inflammation, cancer, etc.
The additional cost for the biopsy is $800 pesos.
All additional information will be provided to you as soon as you contact us.
